Our Curriculum

At Horton Park Primary School, we are a welcoming, inclusive and ambitious school where every child is encouraged to learn to succeed. Our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence and support our pupils to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.

We prepare and support our children for their future in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. We want all our children to enjoy learning, develop resilience and have high aspirations for themselves. At Horton Park, we work together to ensure every child achieves to the best of their ability and flourishes both academically and personally.

Our curriculum is broad and balanced, rooted in the National Curriculum and enriched with meaningful learning experiences. We aim to equip pupils with strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics, alongside a wide range of subjects including science, computing, art, music, physical education, PSHE and languages. Teaching across all subjects is designed to build secure knowledge, effective communication skills and a love of learning.

At Horton Park Primary School, we value every child regardless of background, faith, gender, ability or ethnicity. We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all pupils to succeed, develop leadership and communication skills, and build positive character. Our curriculum reflects and celebrates diversity, helping children to understand their place in Bradford, Britain and the wider world.
